Miranda is a recent college graduate (Bachelors of science in psychology), small business owner, artist, and athlete. Outside of sit skiing and adaptive mountain biking, she spends a lot of time sewing for her small business, Bravery Thread StudioBravery Thread sells medical accessories, focusing on quilted bag covers (ostomy, drainage, feeding, infusion, etc.) and pads. She is also a researcher, and has spent the past several years studying post traumatic stress in chronic illness patients. She presented initial findings at a regional psychological conference, and is now scaling up the study.

Miranda also draws, sings, and is a potter. She loves to read, and collects books for her personal library.
